Wax: Each candle is made from premium coconut apricot wax, which is sustainable and renewable. This wax also has a lower melt point, meaning it's less likely to get too hot - making it safer for your space.

Wicks: We use natural wooden wicks for our 8oz candles, which add a gentle, relaxing crackling sound when lit. Our 7oz candle jars and our 2oz travel tins feature lead-free cotton wicks.

Fragrances: We custom blend our fragrances so they are not something you will find in mass-market candles. Made with premium, phthalate-free fragrance oils. 

1. Always trim your wooden wick to ⅛ inch. If the wick is too long, the flame will be too large and could become a fire hazard. Additionally, it will give off smoke. There are dedicated candle wick cutters which you can purchase, OR simply use a pair of nail clippers to cut your wick down to ⅛ inch. 
2. For the first burn, allow our 8oz candles to burn for up to 3-4 hours until the melt pool reaches the edges of the vessel. This will prevent tunneling.
3. Clear any debris from your candle before burning. This will make your candle last longer and burn cleaner.
4. Never burn near anything flammable.
5. Always burn candles on non-flammable and heat-safe surfaces. 
6. Never leave candles unattended. 
7. Keep candles safely away from children and pets.

We handcraft each candle to order! As a small family owned business, we’re not as fast as big box stores, but we aim to move with the speed of the cheetah and fulfill orders within 14 business days. Orders within the U.S. typically take 2-5 business days to arrive, but may take up to 10 business days depending on current shipping conditions. We want you to be over the moon with your purchase! And we also know that buying candles online can be tricky, and everyone’s sense of smell is a bit different. 

If you’re not 100% happy with the scent of your candle, you can exchange the unburned candle within 30 days of delivery. 

Simply email us at meow@hauntkatcandles.com and let us know your order number, and what you didn’t like about the scent (too strong, too sweet, etc). We will be happy to assist you in finding a fragrance you’ll love.
